Sometimes the next chapter begins with a new door.
On 1 October 2026 I start at a new office. After around 15 years as a consultant, I begin a new role as a planner at Statnett. Before consulting I worked in IT operations at Bergen Technical College and itslearning. I do not yet know exactly where this path will lead; this is the beginning of a new chapter.

After around 15 years as a consultant, from ID Scandinavia in 2011 through several firms and most recently blinQ, I am changing course. Earlier, I worked in IT operations at Bergen Technical College and itslearning. Now I will be a planner at Statnett, part of one organisation with a long-term public role.

What is new is everything I have yet to learn.
A new perspective.
Infrastructure, technology and planning will have a different place in my daily work. My first aim is simple: get to know the people, listen, learn and understand the role. The rest can develop with experience.
The exploration continues.
IANS remains a personal project, independent of my employer. It is where I can test ideas, build tools and explore technology at my own pace. My work may offer new perspectives, while the reflections here remain my own.
The first day is only the first day.
It is tempting to describe a career change as a grand plan. Right now it is more accurate to call it a beginning: a new office, colleagues, tasks and much I do not yet know. This page can grow alongside the journey.
